Ster Kinekor adverts

Again a rant rave from my side.
In the past 2 weeks I’ve watched two movies at Ster Kinekor, on at a Ster Kinekor Junction and the other at a Ster Kinekor Classic.

First movie was the BEE Movie which was at a Ster Kinekor Junction, which was awesome(check out this trailer(12) – funny as hell), which we paid I think R14 for this movie. That is relatively a good price for a movie, BUT is the price really worth it to watch 25 minutes of advertisements before the movie.

Second movie was 30 days of night which we watched at Ster Kinekor Classic, which we paid R40 per person.

Again, now we are paying so much for “Classic”, but whats the difference, a much emptier cinema, and still there is at least 15 minutes of advertisements before the movie this is a total ripoff, same advertisement time just maybe more comfortable seats, or whats the deal with Ster Kinekor’s Classic cinemas.

Are the cinema houses just getting plain money crazy! Or do they have lots of overhead costs to push in so many advertisements before the movie…?

Don’t get me started on the snackbar prices, I reckon they make 200% profit of everything at the snackbar.

Again, just my 2 cents on Ster Kinekor cinemas.
