News about layoffs at Google due to current economic situations are currently all over the internet.
Google are also closing down more of their services. Some of the closures are:
- Google Notebooks
- Google Catalogs
- Dodgeball
- Google Video (what else could be expected after the YouTube takover)
- Google Mashup Editor
- Jaiku(future developmens of it)
Also don’t forget the Google Lively shutdown a few months ago as well.
Some of the products like Google Notebook will still work for current users but no new users will be allowed and also some finer features will not be available.
