Blog from Word 2007

I’ve actually learned this trick whilst working with MOSS 2007 previously and quickly checked the integration options and stumbled upon this feature as well. I myself never use this method but it is nice to know, and maybe this information could be usefull to someone out there 😉

Herewith the steps to post Blog Posts via Word 2007.

1. Open Word and Select File->New
   
2. Select the Blog Post template.
   

1. If you’ve not setup your Blog provider yet, you can now enter it. (quite a couple of providers are support and yes…Wordpress is one of them).
   

1. Register your blogs details, and add the picture import feature as well(which is really cool)
   
2. When finished you will now be able to view your template and start typing your post.
   

1. When finished, click on the down arrow on the Publish button and select direct publishing or “Publish as Draft”
   
   

Your post should now be published to your host with the images(if configured).
