News about layoffs at Google due to current economic situations are currently all over the internet.

Google are also closing down more of their services.  Some of the closures are:

• Google Notebooks
• Google Catalogs
• Dodgeball
• Google Video (what else could be expected after the YouTube takover)
• Google Mashup Editor
• Jaiku(future developmens of it)

Also don’t forget the Google Lively shutdown a few months ago as well.
Some of the products like Google Notebook will still work for current users but no new users will be allowed and also some finer features will not be available.

Here is a more detailed list of the upcoming closures planned.

I posted about Sex in an experiment to see if Sex really will bring more traffic to my blog, and herewith the results.

It appears that traffic increased almost 300%  as a result of only this one post about Sex, obviously the next day everything went back to normal though.

I could not derive exactly of where all the traffic came from, but most of the traffic came from agrigators, but not so much from search engines though.

Some time ago I started playing poker with some guys at work, and after a while I got consumed with this very intriguing card game.

After realising I’m ‘addicted’ and that there are some religion clashes I immediately stopped!

About a few weeks ago I started playing again, after doing my research and making sure that poker is not gambling as you are playing against other players, and that skills and money management is involved.

When I started playing again, I first read through some poker strategy guides before going to play again.  Still today I’m not really playing alot, and especially not for a lot of money yet.

On this second run of playing poker I did much better, as I now knew how to strategise, read people’s reactions and how to learn other peoples ways of play.

As a result I decided to start a new blog, called Poker Addicts, which basically revolves around poker happenings in and around South Africa and anything to do with poker news, strategies etc.

I’ve always wondered what a post about sex would do the traffic to my site, so whilst browsing though some blogs on Afrigator, I came upon Touching SA, written by a Touch Therapist and Sex Educator.

When I looked at some stats for this site, I found that this site had quite a lot of hits, which could be related to using the keywords sex and touch alot(could be).  Very intiutive site and interesting fact available.

So let’s see what type of traffic we get for the first post on PulseBlog with SEX in .
